The children at St Catherines have opportunities to draw, paint, print, make collages, use fabrics and threads and use clay. They are taught the skills and techniques and are then given the opportunity to practise them to produce individual and group pieces of work. As children go up through the school, they are encouraged to think critically and develop an understanding about art and design. We recently had an arts week for our sensory garden and engaged local artists, volunteers and parents to support us.
